2/5th Life "Crisis"

Thrity-three and finally, at the end of this month I will be moving into my own apartment, having had a roommate for most of my adult life. Also, I finally dumped the red Ford Probe - a relic of a stalled adolescence, in my naive Freudian analysis of myself - for a reliable and mature new 2001 Honda Accord Coupe.

I feel so growed up now. Now what’s this I hear about a wife and kids?

You’re going about this all wrong. You need to be behaving in ways that are atypical of responsible 33-year-olds.

Buy a Harley. Or at least trade in the Accord for something faster.

Forget about the wife/kids thing. You’ve got plenty of time. Look at Strom Thurmond.

Ride the “crisis” for all it’s worth.

Surely you’re not suggesting that Strom would be an appropriate substitute for a wife and kids. There’s the feeding, the changing, the prepping for floor votes. Just too much work!
