#2 Pencil Please...

I’m terribly sorry if this has been done before but…

I was wondering, most of you dopers are very intelligent people, what did you get on the SAT?

I’m taking a class now to help my score because I’m really dissapointed in it and it’s highly depressing to think about my brother’s 1500. So how about it guys? Care to help me out?

Kitty

Sorry, can’t help you. I never took the SAT.

I got a 29 composite score on my ACT though.

Sorry, can’t help you there…

I took the ACT and didn’t do too well on it; had to take it again. Even then I just passed. I am so dumb!

I got a perfect score on the math portion. Won me full 4-year scholarship. And who really needs English :D?

You kidding? I didn’t even honestly finish 9th grade.

PSAT this year. 750 verbal, 700 math. I take the real SAT next year.

I got a 29 on the ACT also. How do ACT scores relate to SAT scores by the way? Is there some formula?

Nevermind, I found a site that compares the scores for both tests. ACT vs. SAT scores

800 math, 720 verbal

Acutally, I didn’t do great and I wish I had taken them as a Junior so I could retake it. IIRC I only scored near a 1000… Right now, I’m happy to be learning Avation Electronics in the United States Navy. And I didn’t need no High SAT score for that

I ought to take the test again… I KNOW I can do better…
too bad theres no online ttest
or is there?

Oh, my god, FPK. Sure people here post detailed accounts of their strangest sexual encouters. But don’t you think asking somebody’s SAT score is a little too…intimate?

720 verbal, 560 math

I suppose I should be ashamed of my math score but, fuck you I’m an artist.

Well, it may not make you feel much better, but I got a 770 on my Verbal, and a 680 on my Math. (800/690 on the PSATs … Sigh)

700 math, 690 verbal. The only exam I have ever taken in my entire life on which I scored higher in mathematics than in verbal skills.

I scored a 34 on the ACT.

790 math
740 verbal

But I did have the advantage of a high school magnet program where the average score was over 1500.

Might not help, but 780 math, 800 verbal. Probably wouldn’t do as well on the ACT though, since it tests more areas.

32 on the ACT (perfect on the math, which helped pull the overall up)

695 Math, 730 Verbal. 33 on the ACT.

780 verbal, 760 math. Didn’t take the ACT
The worst thing is- it’s only been 12 years since I took it, I could remember my verbal, I could remember my total, but I had to pull up the calculator to figure out what my math was from there.

Oh, how the brain deteriorates with age.

I’m taking it one week from today. Are you taking it March 31st(?) too, Fairy? Perhaps we can cram together. Er, right. :stuck_out_tongue:

Alright since I haven’t taken my SATs just yet, I can’t really answer. But I have taken the P-SATs. On those I got a 53 on math, 59 on verbal, and 70 on writing. (Add zeroes if you want.) And on the practice test I took at the Kaplan course, I got a 540 on math (yay ten points up!), and 670 on verbal (which would be 60 points higher.)

Wish me luck…

780 math, 690 verbal, 33 ACT. Back before it was curved.

And now the cliched statement:

It doesn’t matter after your first day of college. It may not even matter -before- your first day of college, depending…

This is true, of course. What is also true, obviously, from this thread, is that you’ll remember the score for the rest of your life anyway.

Which will really piss you off when you can’t remember your PIN number or where you put your car keys, let me tell you.

And good luck to both FPK and Zoggie.
