Hi, this might seem like a weird question, but i figured I would try.
Im going to college this fall and I want to get a phone plan, but it will primarily be for just me and my girlfriend. Is there a plan out there that can do that?(just 2 people) I figured if there was it would be cheaper…thanks!

Surely there is. When I had to change plans last year (CDMA disappeared) I was offered two phones with 150 minutes free calls a month between them amongst other things. So I got them, gave one to a friend and we talk all the time for nothing. I don’t think she uses the phone for anything else.

The cell phone company’s web sites will have information about their “family” plans.
but with a family plan you usually have to pay like $10 a month added onto a normal plan…i kind of wanted to avoid having to buy an entire plan just for 2 people to talk. thats the predicament 
What do you want? Do you each want a phone? If you want two phones then the family plans are generally cheaper than two single plans. Verizon has free in system calling on the plan I have. Meaning that you have unlimited minutes when calling another Verizon customer.
I don’t think there a cell phone service that will do what you want. You have to have at least one full plan, no matter if you only talk to one person.
