I’m trying to find a cheap cellular plan for my sister and I. We’re interested in keeping in touch with each other, but not making many other calls.
I looked at T-mobile and Cingular’s web sites, but I couldn’t find a plan that looked right. There must be some cheap family plan for two phones with as few normal minutes as possible and unlimited mobile-to-mobile. Does anyone know of such a deal?
That sucks, frankly! I’m paying $45 a month for my one line now on my contract that’s expiring, and that has 1000 minutes. I was hoping for $40 or so for both lines with maybe 60 minutes of normal talk time between them. Wishful thinking, I know.
Many plans will give you a second phone (and number) for $10-$15 for the second phone. I think I’m paying $39 for my phone and $10 for my wife’s per month with Verizon including free long distance and extra free minutes for calls between the two phones. (It might be $49 and $15. I’m not sure as my wife pays the bill and she’s asleep right now.) But you shoudl be able to get somethign for about this cost from most carrier’s I’d think. Look for family plans. (Note you’ll hav eto have both bills come to the same address)
Can’t help you on this specifically, but I just wanted to share:
Here in Alabama, I will sometimes be blankly staring at the TV screen as the commercials for Mobile-to-Mobile plans are broadcast. And in that daze, a thought will begin to form in the back of my mind, What about other cities, like Montgomery-to-Birmingham?, at which point I usually regain consciousness and grasp what’s going on. :smack:
