2-year old sips alcohol, mom calls cops and paramedics; blames restaurant

That’s making a big assumption there.

That she wore any to start with, I mean…

Don’t forget “aggravated dumbass naming with intent to annoy teachers, employers and DMV workers.”

I’m appalled that this restaurant didn’t have staff members assigned to watch the customer’s kids and slap stuff out of their hands they shouldn’t be touching. WTF is this country coming to?

If I was the manager I would have added the tip in and If I was a customer they would have heard an earful. You’d have to be a complete fucking retard to call paramedics.

If the mom is 19, then what was she doing ordering booze?

She’s obviously a moron, and should be jailed just for naming her kid “Jadm,” but I don’t think she would ever find a favorable jury for a lawsuit. She’s probably looking for some kind of quick cash settlement (hell, she probably fed the kid the drink herself), but I hope the establishment in this case tells her to fuck off and actually take them to court.

The cops should have saved themselves the time and just arrested the kids right then and there. It’s bound to happen sooner or later, might as well just take care if it when things are slow.

Nay! Sauron does not use white.

Since when do 2-year olds drink out of a glass anyway? Don’t they usually have sippy cups? I wonder if this was a set up?

She’s 22.

Plenty of 2 year olds are able to hold a cup and drink out of it, although often messily. It wouldn’t be weird for a kid that age to grab a cup if it looked like something he liked.

Some parents skip sippy cups entirely, and go from bottles to cups - usually without the alcohol, though.

Babymama shoulda bought a vowel.

Oops - I forgot that one.

Let’s save some time and just calling this “snowflaking.”

Me too, and see? We turned out… like we did…

It was a quote from the article (the misspelling).

I won’t even bother with the pile on occuring here and in the comments on the article but can just imagine how this mom’s day is going at this point.
With this news story out on the internet (how many people do you know have a kid named Jdam?) I would bet she is hiding out in her home shades drawn avoiding calls from every friend, relative, and acquaintance giving her a ring just to laugh in her face and call her an idiot. She’s not going to be able to live this one down for a while.

I can actually see both sides. The resturant clearly needs to rethink their serving scheme if small children can grab foods and drink.

The restaurant is wrong here.

The mother way over-reacted and I agree it seems she is out for some $$$$

A simple apology and maybe a free meal should be enough to cover the mother’s distress.

But really the restaurant needs to prevent any child from being able to grab any food in the future.

You’re saying to go to a restaurant with a child we need to either restrain the child or sit at different tables? Wait I’m going to stop complaining, I know some families this would be an improvement for.

You don’t think the public would be upset by a restaurant policy of straitjacketing kids? I’d be all for it, but generally?:dubious:

Adult beverages should be protected by sharp spikes so that children will not pick them up.
