I’m down to 177.5. It’s a rough couple of weeks ahead, so I’ll be happy if I just don’t gain. My exercise schedule is ou the window and frankly, I am enjoying the rest.
Now at 262#, a new low, down 3 pounds from that Christmas party back on the 10th.
Last night on the elliptical, I completed a full workout (50 minutes plus another 5 minutes of cooldown) at 1103 calories burned, which meant I was just over the 20 cal/minute rate for the entire workout, without stopping! I am a total sweaty mess 20 minutes into the workout and thereafter, driving a poor snooty lady to duck her nostrils under her collar to kill my garlicky and oniony smell. Pit me all you want lady, but I was there first and you knew that jumping on the machine next to me, you were assuming all risks incurred from YETIIIIII-MAN, Master of Sweat and Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat Buuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn!
OH, THE BURN! IT BURNS!!!
I’m down more again! I’m just under 190 so I’m almost 14 lb lighter than I was 6 weeks ago! I’ve really reduced my alcohol intake, avoided eating at night and stopping when I’m comfortable.
Exercising is going great, I’m jogging a couple of times a week and going to the gym once. My wife and I are looking at how to increase our gym attendance in January.
People are starting to notice the weight loss, it feels good!
Someone left me Christmas cookies! I was so sorely tempted this morning. I ended up having oatmeal for breakfast rather than cookies, but it was close…
I just got back from a trip to Costa Rica. It wasn’t a vacation, but a working trip to help a small church there deal lwith crushing poverty.
People always say before I go, “Hard work and not much food, you should shed a few pounds”. But cookng and serving food is an expression of love in CR. The food kept coming. And GOOOOOOOD food.
Pork stew
Mashed potatos
Plantains
Omellettes
Exotic juices
Coconut custard
Fried chicken
Beans and rice
Beet and potato salad
MMMMMMmmmmmmmm…
I ate like a pig, and maintained my pre-trip weight!!
Hopefully going off my plan will help me get a jumpstart as I begin again today!!
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! Now someone has givien me Christmas chocolates! These people just want me to be fat!
Oh well, so far my will power is holding…
I feel your pain, Khadaji. People keep feeding me too. For some strange reason this year, we’ve gotten a ton of food gifts for our office. One customer gave us a massive box of cheese and summer sausage that must have cost a fortune. Another customer gave us $50 for a food tray. Another brought in a homemade almond tart. We were given massive amounts of chocolate. We got caramel popcorn with M&Ms. It’s insane! Then of course there’s my friend who brought me banana bread and my grandma who sent home English toffee. I’m not trying to resist all of this. That would be unnecessarily cruel to myself. But I am trying to hold my own. Thankfully there are only a few days of this left.
Jayjay and I went to our WW meeting this morning. Both of us have hit our 20 lb mark for the month! I’ve lost 21.8 lbs and he hit 20 today. Go us!
That’s 5.2 pounds for me in the last week, even with me being a bad boy on Friday… (stupid idiot coworkers brought two HUGE plates of homemade cookies in and put them right beside the printer I have to go back and forth to at least 20 times in a day)
I was horrible this week. My resolve broke earlier mid-week and I had cookies and candy and other horrible stuff. Thursday night I had beer.
Today I am paying for it, as I have no energy and overall can’t force myself to get up and around. Napped a good portion of the day. I have been pretty good food-wise though.
Thank goodness the madness will be over in two days!
Khadaji, you’re not the only one. The last two weeks have been a write-off in terms of the diet.
I’ve finally decided that I’ll just get through the next couple of days, and then get back on track.
I’m also debating whether I should start training for a half marathon in late April. That would give me a reason to get out and exercise.
I lost a half pound
I am in full on weight gain mode. Eating it all. Candy. Cake. Regulat Coke. Beer. Real mayo chicken salad, sausage balls, meatballs…
Somebody talk me down…I need help!
Stop that. You know that a 1/2 pound is spectacular for someone so close to her goal weight.
Hehehe. Yay! You are that much closer to goal!
I just didn’t want to draw attention to it, is all, with so many struggling. We will see what Tuesday morning, my ‘official’ weigh-in, says.
I am going to have some gay cake now.
I wonder what is in a gay cake?
It’s full of fabulous! And Quentin Crisp’s ashes.
Nothing so faboo as that. It’s rainbow layer cake.
Faced the scales this morning, and managed to put on 3.6 pounds over the last three weeks. Not as bad as I feared, considering how much chocolate (my personal downfall) I ate in the last week.
So, now I continue on with the weight loss.
