2007: Predictions For TV And Films

Sitcoms will come back in style with three major hits in September.

A few huge-hit television dramas will see ratings tank and will be cancelled, causing other TV dramas to start to fail.

American Idol will continue to be the most popular TV show of the season, but piss off so many viewers that this will begin to be the beginning of the end of its run.

A small, independent movie will become a huge hit early in the season and make more money than any of the blockbusters of the summer.

A documentary film will become a must-see film even in the boondocks.

Katie Couric will be fired from CBS, but claim she is leaving because she has colon cancer after all.

Spider-Man III will sweep all before it, breaking box office records, and thrilling and delighting us all as the best super-hero action movie ever made.

After Shrek III is another huge hit for them, Dreamworks will announce a further five sequels and spinoffs are now in the planning stages, the last of which (for now) will debut in 2023.

Interestingly enough, none of them will involve a shlubby guy with a hot wife or a group of 20-something pals.
