TV is Dead. Long live the TV!

Well so all my shows have ended their season. Since I watch on Hulu and iTunes, I don’t generally get advertisements for upcoming shows. There’s probably a whole slough of cool shows starting up (?) but I don’t know what they are. I was hoping y’all could give me a list of names of shows that will be starting that I should try and sample if they become available.

The shows I’ve watched over the last year (ranked by liking) :

  1. Sons of Anarchy
  2. Kings (presuming it will maintain its quality)
  3. Lost
  4. Deadwood (I was late getting to it)
  5. Dexter
  6. Battlestar Galactica
  7. Fringe
  8. House
  9. Lie to Me
  10. Mad Men
  11. True Blood
  12. Mythbusters
  13. Top Gear
  14. Dollhouse
  15. Rescue Me
  16. Castle
  17. Solitaire
  18. Hell’s Kitchen (was tempting to quit watching)
  19. 24 (stopped watching midway through the season)

The only thing I notice right away is Breaking Bad. From the rest of your list, I think you’ll quite like it.

I’m not positive, but I think Kings was canceled and left unfinished.

The only thing I can offer you is Breaking Bad (Sunday’s on AMC). It’s about to finish it’s second season, but it is the best show on TV right now.

I don’t know if anything good ever starts in the summer. Maybe some cable shows, but I don’t think there is anything new in the works.

Burn Notice is starting in June. IIRC, there are some old episodes on hulu that you can watch to see if it’s to your liking.

It’s a drama about an ex spy, and he helps people out with their crises of the week, usually by using deception. There are explosions every so often, too.

Mad Men, of course, is also a summer series, so you’ll have that one soon.

Oh, and don’t forget Fiona!

According to Wikipedia, they’re planning to finish it out in mid-summer. Obviously that depends on them actually sticking to that, but one can hope.

Started a new season last month, in case you’re not already aware.

I’m enjoying the Unusuals.

I’ve been enjoying the Unusuals, too, but it looks like it wasn’t picked up for next season. What that means for the rest of the episodes that were set to air, I don’t know.

The Hulu page for Kings says it’s returning on June 14th. That’ll probably be just to burn off episodes already in the can.

Mythbusters has new episodes for at least the next couple of weeks.
