And I have more for you, Norine (EW!). Stuff I had on eBay that didn’t go, and a pair of shorts too I think. They may not fit you yet but no harm in trying.
Great! I really, really need some shorts (my sister promised to go through her too-small stuff for me by Easter, so she’ll have some, too).
Too bad I didn’t know yesterday; we were in Baltimore. Anyway, I’ll email you to make arrangements.
Unfortunately, I only have basic cable so can’t get On-Demand. At least, I don’t think I can. I also don’t have a DVD player but when I move I’ll have access to one. I’m checking out her site and like what I see. Thanks, tdn!
I weighed in this morning, after missing last week (I had to take the cat to the vet’s office for her weigh in). I’m down 2.6 pounds, and am now at 168.6.
Well, due to either another virus - or more likely an infection - I have lost 5 more pounds, putting me back to where I started a year ago.
The doc gave me antibiotics for the infection and the fever has already broken, so I should be able to go back to eating.
I do not recommend this as a weight loss method but what the heck, I might as well take the good with the bad.
Sorry I missed this before, Khadaji. I hope that you are healing well. You’re probably still resting quite a bit and maybe you get a little bored sometimes. I’m betting that’s when the cravings kick in. Having something nearby to keep your hands and mind busy may help. I know enforced bed rest would be the surest bet I’d get anything completely crocheted these days.
I’m sending you good thoughts and hope that the virus you picked up is gone. Post as often as you can, weight loss or not.
I gained. I keep losing and gaining the same 3-odd pounds. Of course, it was definitely my fault, as I’ll admit that I’ve had trouble curbing temptation for some reason lately, but I’m really getting sick of being on a first-name basis with that 3 pounds of fat. It’s like the crazy ex-boyfriend that goes away for a couple of days then shows up again in the middle of the night pulling a John Cusack under your window with “In Your Eyes” playing on a boombox he’s holding over his head.
I really hate that.
Jim, just remember the bazillion you’ve already lost. You’ve been doing so well up until now, maybe it’s just a matter of re-focusing yourself.
Funny. I don’t ever remember that happening to me…
Well I was happy with the weigh-in today. I lost another 8.4 lbs over the past two weeks, bringing my total to 63.6 lbs lost and a current weight of 320 lbs. Another 20 to go before I think about getting the brown bomber jacket…
175 this morning.
And a mere 24 hours later, 173.5!!!
Wow! That’s great, Ginger.
Hope you’re feeling better, Khadaji, and that your recovery is going well. It’s good to have you back!
I weighed 177 this morning. That’s the lowest I’ve been since the fall of 2005. I did pretty well this weekend despite my usual weekend issues with trying not to overeat. That’s really my biggest struggle at this point. During the week it’s so easy because I’m busy but give me some leisure time and all I want to do is eat!
Only a half-pound loss today, so my new statistics are 180/174.5/150.
I did have pizza and salted popcorn yesterday evening, though. So I might be retaining water… I would like to think…
Hey Ginger we’re scale twins! I’m 173.5 this morning too! I know you were frustrated for a while so I’m happy to see that you’re creeping down.
Thanks tdn for posting a link to Leslie Sansone’s web site. That’ll be great on days when the weather is too icky to walk outside. It’s been mostly nice here but once the rainy season kicks in I’m sure I’ll have a few rainy mornings.
Have a great week everyone.
Glad I could help. Walk walk walk and tap! A strange thing happened this past weekend – most of her videos were taken off of OnDemand. Including all of her high-intensity 3-mile walks. All that’s left is Walking for Diabetics, Hobbling for the Ancient and Infirm, and One Mile Nap. Comcast needs to be take out back and shot, execution-style.
So instead I had to resort to a regular cardio workout. There’s a 3 segment one that I like, with a warmup, high-intensity workout, and cooldown. The middle part was with an annoying Australian chick who’s a bit intense for me. Normally, that 21 minute workout exhausts me. But on Saturday, when I got to the end of part 2, I yelled at the TV “Don’t stop now, you wimps! I’m not even breathing hard!” I selected another workout and by the time I was finished, I was sweating like a politician.
I guess it’s a good thing that my old workouts just don’t cut it anymore.
You go girl!
I have found that my weight fluctuates during the week also. It may be water weight. It may be due to salt intake. I may be due to the phases of the moon…
tdn that’s a sure sign that you’re getting healthier. Good for you.
I bought a pair of pants about 7-8 months ago that fit and looked good but they were way too long. They were on sale so I bought them anyway figuring I would hem them. I finally did…last week.
They’re already loose. I know, that should be a good thing but I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to hem them.
Good morning!
I’ve dropped to 179th place in the walking challenge here at work. Only the top 150 get prizes and I’m not entirely certain that I can regain my standing. Darn. I’m just discovering how competitive I can be.
But last night, after my new monday night gig, I went to bed rather than eat something at 2:00 am and then go to bed. That’s always an issue for me when the band is playing. We have dinner before we leave for the gig around 5:30 or 6 then by the time we get home it’s been more than 6 hours since we’ve eaten and we’re starving. Going to bed hungry is hard but I did it.
And this morning I’m down to 172.5 color me happy.
Woot Velvet!
Just came from my Doctor’s. I’ve lost 18 lbs since March 7th. OK, this not the way you want to lose weight, but as I have said, take the good with the bad.
