It was difficult to limit it to just five. “Fringe” was tempting, but I already went with “Privileged”, giving up the point. “Gary, Unmarried” was tempting, with Jay Mohr AND Paula Marshall. . .but I like Mohr, and figure a half-hour sitcom might slip through for six weeks. “Worst Week” looks bad enough to make an exception.
Game shows are cheap, so might last longer. I no longer underestimate the appeal of reality shows, and again, they’re cheap. “Hole in the Wall” is SORELY tempting, though.
“Easy Money” looks wretched, but it’s on CW, so might have a longer leash. Crime shows are still big, and ones with a twist, or charm, might make it six weeks or more. “Kings” isn’t eligible. . . Princess Di aside, I don’t think the US is going to watch a show about the monarchy.
