2010 NFL Schedule

Yeah Oak, the weather in Cincinnati could be either very mild and agreeable or quite cold and windy that time of the year. The weather here is very unpredictable. One of the things that sucks (for both teams really) is the way PBS is built: its right on the Ohio River, which is conducive to breeze/winds and the stadium isn’t fully enclosed. It can affect the passing game.

Temperatures will be interesting. We had a really unusually cold and snowy winter this past winter, so maybe it’ll be 70 degrees and sunny later this year in December.

One thing I do predict is that Cincinnati will reload and improve their defense even more. They had the #4 ranked defense last season. They need to improve their pass rush a lot. The Bengals have arguably the best CB tandem in the league and the fact that the team generated that ranking with a sub-par pass rush speaks volumes about how good the Bengals corners really are.

That isn’t “going back.” From 1985 through the present, the Giants are clearly the better franchise. (More winning seasons, more playoff appearances, more playoff wins, more Superbowl appearances, more Superbowl wins, etc…)

I admit that my wording was ambiguous, but that’s what I meant. Pick any year in the Superbowl era, and then compare the Bears and Giants from that year to the present. In every case the Giants win. So of course the Giants get more primetime games than the Bears; they deserve them more.

My memory is hazy, but I seem to remember MLB basically telling the NFL to go pound sand this past season. Possibly that one Sunday that had a Phillies (vs Yankees) playoff game that bumped the Eagles (vs Giants) game to an early start, conflicting with the Jets.

I don’t think that was the problem, though. I seem to remember something about Minnesota, a conflict, and MLB basically telling the NFL to go fuck themselves. Can anyone remember any specifics?

Anyway, I think it might be payback for that. It cracks me up to no end hearing lesser leagues whine about the NFL. To be clear, MLB isn’t really a lesser league, I’m more thinking about Mark Cuban whining about how the NFL shouldn’t have put the draft on in primetime in deference to the NBA playoffs. Ha!

Yes it is. It’s lesser than freaking MLS. Or pro Lacross. Or the ADAA.
