Almost 12 months ago, I like many others, made some resolutions for 2010. I also figured like every other year, by June most or all of mine would be busted. But not so this year.

I wanted to lose some weight. I weighed 278 pounds last January. This morning I weighed myself. 241 pounds. Still want to lose another 30 to 40 pounds. I have also gone from a size 44 pants to 38. My goal is a size 36. All this took was eating a decent diet and getting some exercise. Who knew it could be so easy.

I lost a top tooth in a car accident many years ago. I had a clip in tooth that looked like crap and it broke a couple years ago. I wanted to get a permanent fix. Today, $1500 later, I have a shiny new bridge and a smile that has been noticed.

My wife and I separated 3 years ago. I held off getting a divorce so she would have access to the health benefits from my job. As of December 22, we are now legally divorced. YES!!!

I lost any feelings I had for my now ex long before we separated and divorced. Other than a few one night flings, I haven’t had any female companionship for a long time. I decided I want to meet someone else, hopefully someone I could spend the rest of my life with. I signed up with a couple of dating sites last summer. I met someone last August and we hit it off great. We spent a lot of time together and I helped her get through a knee replacement operation. Everything was going great till Thanksgiving weekend when her ex called her. Game over. She let me know then that she still had a thing for him. I have since met someone else and we have begun the process of seeing if we might be for each other. She has promised me something special for New Years Eve. I really like her.

I have too much crap. Over 100 Monopoly games plus other Monopoly stuff. I had a huge collection of Crayola stuff collecting dust. I had over 3000 NASCAR diecast plus another 500 or so other diecast cars. I also have a lot of other stuff, I live in a 1300 square foot house and it is full of stuff. I also have a storage locker packed full of crap too. I have since sold off about 1/4 of the stuff I don’t need and will sell more this next year. Made some money too, this paid for my Christmas shopping and a new leather couch for me.
Now that I have found it is possible to make resolutions and keep them, I am working on my list for 2011. How did your 2010 resolutions go?
