Nonsense. It has been shown time & time that films released later, and thus fresh in the memory, have a much great chance of being nominated or winning.
This might hold a microscopic grain of truth if Tangled had been released in the spring. But it wasn’t–it was released on Thanksgiving and was still enjoying its original theatrical run when the nominations were being tallied, putting a damper on your ridiculous conspiracy theory.
