Those QBs are really 3rd-4th round guys QBs who are only going so high because of the crazy run on QBs in the first, right?
Son of a bitch, Bowers must be a cripple.
Btw, Bengals were offered the same deal from Atlanta but chose Green instead.

Last year ESPN blogger Mike Sando seemed to have all the picks before anybody else, sometime by minutes. What kind of triple-checking does Godell insist on, cause he’s really slow up there at the podium.
I like Sheard a lot, but not quite this soon.
Cardinals take RB, huh? Larry Fitzgerald must be pounding his head against the wall.
Cardinals draft Ryan Williams. Bye bye Beanie.
ETA: I think the delay for Goddelll has to do with coordinating these former players doing the announcements.
Mike Sando is indeed all over it on the ESPN. com chat. AKeem Ayers to TEN.
Ayers to the Titans. It’s weird having the picks before TV. Ayers is a great pick.
I like the Ayers pick a lot, I wanted him for the Packers. I also think Whisenhunt is insane.
Jesus, already know the next pick. Carter to the Boys, practically before they announced the last pick.
Mallett to the Skins now?
Mallett to the Skins maybe? Hmm…
Nope
Has there been a QB in this draft that wasn’t a reach? I mean, relative to each other it doesn’t look so bad because all the QBs are being reached for - but if you looked in them in isolation - and all you knew was that Dalton and Kaerpernick both went at the top of round 2, Ponder went 12, etc… they’re all clear reaches, right?
Edit: I guess Gabbert based on consensus but I don’t think he was ever worth top 10 consideration.
Don’t understand that Texans pick. They already have Connor Barwin and Brian Cushing, might need to move Mario Williams back too after drafting Watt. Weird pick.
The message board era has really made this a lot worse than it used to be. In 1990, you took a guy and fans said, “Hey, just the position we needed - good pick!” In 2011 you make the same pick and it’s, “OH NOES! WE COULD’VE GOTTEN THAT GUY 4 PICKS LATER! REAAAAACH!!11!11!!!”
Calm down people.
Bowers must have no knee. Obviously every team checked him out and every team passed him up once. I think he’s perfect for a team like the Patriots to pick up. I wouldn’t mind him on the Lions, provided they believe he’s the best pick at that spot. There are other needs for sure, but if that’s how it’s graded, then get the best guy on your board.
Man, this feels a lot like Sergio Kindle last year.
Mallett looks like a total Raider at this point.
Vikings fill a need they don’t have and go for the TE, Kyle Rudolph. Man the Vikies are really having a terrible draft already.
I think so, but that’s not the point. Would that person be there for their next pick? If they’re convinced he isn’t, then they have to make that pick, provided they love him and that’s what they have on their draft board.
Even if they think Bowers won’t have a career longer than his original rookie contract, but that he has the potential to be dominant in that period, he still becomes worth a pick here.
