2011 NFL Draft

There goes Boling. Ugh. Not ready for a world in which the Bengals make good decisions.

Browns draft a project TE instead of shoring up the RT position with some of the remaining decent RT prospects. Or Ballard. Hmm…

I guess we’re trying to strike Antonio Gates magic.

Surprise, the Eagles have traded their pick to the Bucs. It was mentioned earlier in this thread that teams don’t “trade down,” they accept another team’s offer to move up. When it comes to the Eagles, I think that’s almost certainly bullshit. Teams aren’t taking naps during the other teams’ picks, and the Eagles are very, very active.

Would the Cardinals please stop using my shopping list as a draft board? Please?

I’d like to know what the Eagles got to move down. Since ESPN hardly talks about what is actually happening, I switched to NFLN. Unfortunately, they’re too current, and have seemingly moved on. Damn.

Looks like the Eagles moved down twelve spots and picked up a 2012 4th round pick in the process. Thank you, come again.

The Bengals are quietly having one of the better drafts. AJ Green in 1, Andy Dalton in 2, Dontaye Moch in 3, Clint Boling in 4…so far so good!

Try CBS Sports [Draft Tracker]. Their coverage is uniformly excellent.

I switched from ESPN when they started charging that “Insider” subscription fee bullshit.

Eagles are up! What will they get in trade this time?

And our very own Cecil goes to the Jaguars.

Holy shit, a LB with a name people know? Has someone kidnapped Andy Reid? Eagles fans will love this pick.

The 49ers took Oklahoma St. RB Kendall Hunter. I had seriously considered adding him to my list. I think it’s a perfect fit, finally, as a change-of-pace, scatback the 49ers have never had. Now we don’t pick until round 6 :(.

Kicker was definitely a pressing need which could not, not even a little bit, be delayed for even another round.

I’ve never been that guy who takes a kicker in the sixth round of a fantasy draft, so I guess I’ll have to vicariously feel that mockery and shame through my favorite team.

At least he’s a good kicker who’s dealt with wind his whole career and still managed to make 68 of 76 tries over his four years. Points are points.

Ah, damn. A collective cry goes out in the Bay Area as Cleveland steals Jim Harbaugh’s fullback.

And Oakland takes another speedster in Tiawan Jones…

Why the hell did the Browns draft a fullback? There were rumors that Vickers wouldn’t get resigned but he’s probably the best in the business. Why the hell wouldn’t you resign one of the best fullbacks when it costs almost nothing?

Marecic is really good, and they can get even cheaper and younger. I just hope the guy from USC lasts until the next Niner pick.

In case you were wondering, Owen Marecic has 9.1" hands.

And Green Bay just keeps getting better. Davon House was a steal.

Hot Damn!!! Packers trade down and still get Davon House!! Me likey!!
