2013 Jeopardy! online test thread

I’m registered for tomorrow, 6pm Pacific time. Just for fun, I’ll try it.

I loosely kept score above and was about 30-35. Ish.

Endeavor to Persevere!

Will do!

Tonight’s test starts in 10 minutes. I think others are taking it, too. Good luck to us!

Good luck to those taking it tomorrow!

As usual, I have no idea how I did, but I suspect it wasn’t good enough. I forgot Ruth Ginsberg’s last name (Before & After, should have been Baby Ruth Ginsberg), and that James Patterson wrote Women’s Murder Club. My guess of Anne Rice was apparently correct, as was the vague memory I had that Kimberly Williams was married to Brad Paisley. I know I left a few others blank and can’t remember what they were now. sigh

I blanked on a few too - including Anne Rice and Jennifer Lawrence. Had a good run at the start. Messed up Ruth Bader as well, thinking the candy bar should come second. Got Patterson wrong, and Frank Herbert (wrote Frank Howard I think).

Not as well as I did last time, when I actually got a call, I’m afraid.

Were there 50 questions before? I seem to recall fewer.

Did randomly get Paisley, if that one is correct. Total guess there.

It’s always been 50. The scuttlebutt is that you need 35 correct to pass on to consideration for an audition.

Yeah, I had a few blanks too. 40 at best. Bummer. Wait yet another year I suppose. Missed Patterson and Frank Herbert. Poop.

Ugh. I would have done much better doing last night’s test.

Anyone got a handy link to the Q’s?

Probably not yet. The Sony forums usually have them up within an hour of the test, and poster-researched answers soon after.

Well, I just completely borked that. About halfway through, there was a question that I knew the answer, but couldn’t call it up. All of a sudden, I just went in the tank, and missed like five in a row that I knew. God, I feel like Tony Romo. Blech.

I really blew this one. I’ll be surprised if I got more than 30. D’oh.

Lucky if I got half, but who knows? I, too, would love to see the questions to get a better idea.

Took it. Probably tanked, but taking it is a thing I do. I remember taking it live once writing answers with golf pencils in A.C. and once with pens in a conference room in Philly.

Actually, the scariest part would be if I ever passed…

Thanks. Weirdly, I got Frank Herbert and James Patterson, the ones everyone else missed!

Sonsabitches! I got 36 of last night’s right when I looked at the questions above, but I’ll be lucky if I got 30 on my real one tonight.

People are already on it here

Also missed “the cruellest month”, but got Woolfe (which was a guess). Missed the waltzes, which is sad.

Were there zero sports questions?

Other misses: SC tree on the flag (which I really should have known) and the name of the Dragon Tattoo series (which, really???)

I don’t remember any. Shame, I rarely miss those.

Apparently the Millennium series. I didn’t know it, either. My wife loved those books, and she’d never heard the name, either. Weird question.
