I’m hoping that the Ravens can beat the Bengals to make the playoffs, but to be honest, i don’t think Baltimore deserves to be there. The offense is woeful, and they’re currently down 7-6 despite the fact that Dalton threw two of his first three completions to Ravens players.
I’m rooting for Miami over the Jets, because if the Ravens lose, a Miami win keeps both Pittsburgh and San Diego out of the playoffs, and that would be great.
My beloved Colts are rolling so far against Jacksonville.
17-6 Bengals. Time to step on the gas and put them away in the second half. Turn Flacco into Sacco of jello.
Panthers started badly but took the lead into the half. Go Panthers!
Dalton is trying his damnedest to give the Ravens the game, but they just won’t take it.
Yeah, but now it’s tied. I can’t believe how many times the Bengals have been gifting the Ravens chances. That 10 yard punt was breathtakingly bad.
The Bengals depth is really being tested along the oline and at TE. We don’t have any TE’s now. They are all hurt.
Release the Kraken.
Release Giovanni Bernard! Woot!
The Panthers just sacked Matt Ryan for the 9th time today. Still, they only lead by 1.
It’s all over in Cincinnati, pretty much, and in Miami.
At the moment, it’s the Steelers as the last AFC Wild Card, but if the Chargers can beat the dramatically understrength Chiefs today, they will take the last spot.
To be honest, i don’t think any of the 8-8 teams competing for the last spot are worth a playoff place. If i ran the NFL, i would institute a rule whereby no 8-8 team could make the playoffs. Of course, i’m not sure how that would work in practice, because it would leave you with 5 teams instead of 6.
Anyway, i’m going for the lesser of two evils and rooting for the Chargers this afternoon. Keeping the Steelers out is now the number one priority.
Ugh. Dirty Birds came up short. Now my Saints are looking at the 6th seed with a win, or being done with a loss, I think.
I think we can still get the 5th seed, depending on how the SF-ARI game goes.
Number 3 seed gets a bye. Or even number 4 seed. Or there’s no number 4, number 1 gets a bye to conference championship, and 2 & 3 get a week off. Or there’s no number 3, and 1 & 2 get two weeks off and go directly to conference championship (maybe even ask them which weeks they’d rather have off).
Or there’s no number 2 and #1 goes direct to Super Bowl.
Or there’s no #1 because everyone went 8-8 and the other conference champion is automatically league champion.
Or there’s no champion, because the entire league went 8-8.
Or the NFL would never go for any of this, because playoff games bring in multiple shit-tons of money.
Hell yes. I am now the world’s biggest Bills and Chargers fan!
It would be so super sweet if NE loses to the Bills so the Bengals secure the #2 seed. It’s been so long since the Bengals won a playoff game, and with the way the ball has been bouncing, this feels like the year where they finally get off the schneid and win one.
All the teams I care about have clinched playoff spots, so my main interest today is whether Manning breaks the season yardage record.
We want Flynn!! We want Flynn!!!
Admit it: you want Giovanni Bernard. It’s okay. Everyone whiffs on a prediction from time to time. You can do eet! ALL…NIGHT…LONG!
Packers get 2 ridiculous calls so far.
You have GOT to be kidding me.
