2014 NFL Draft

I can’t see it happening, but if the Bengals somehow draft a QB in the first round my head will explode. There’s no way. Manziel to the Cards here. Bridgewater to the Browns later. Bengals draft TCU CB Verrett.

Not an educated one. I didn’t think he was special enough or so much better than other CB’s to be top 10.

Bortles to Jacksonville. sigh At least (1) it’s a short trip to go watch him, and (2) the Buccaneers didn’t take Johnny Football. I wanted Ebron but I can live with Evans. Incidentally, I love the Jets’ pick. I saw a lot of Louisville last year and that guy jumped off the screen.

I would be OK with Bridgewater going to Cleveland. That will guarantee him a quick, painful career.

I don’t know why, but they haven’t had a decent QB there since Kosar. It is the NFL QB graveyard.

I have a bad feeling about Manziel and New England. I hope he goes to someone else. I see Brady playing two years, maybe 3 at the most. He doesn’t need the money, and Belichick knows it. If he goes down with an injury again, Brady could walk away at any time with a broadcasting career waiting, with his beautiful wife waiting at home.

If the Jags don’t take Bortles, is he still on the board? I say yes.

Can I say I despise teams that trade up and then don’t immediately get their pick in. You traded up for a fucking reason, give them the goddamn pick.

As many needs as Jax has, they’ll need a sturdy QB to get the crap get kicked out of him while they rebui…well, build. Maybe they couldn’t swing a trade down to keep them in the top 20 and didn’t want to take the chance.

Shhhhhhhh. Everybody shut up. The Packers are up!!!

Brandin Cooks was the guy I wanted at the beginning of April. Lee is still on the board, but I’m still sad. I think Cooks is amazing.

I’m guessing Ha Ha. Maybe Lee.

Not a chance. He was the consensus #1 QB. I’m pretty sure there has never been a draft where the first QB wasn’t taken in the top ten.

The consensus of central Florida residents?

Mike Mayock keeps suggesting Philly is a logical landing spot for Manziel. Are you fucking crazy? Did you watch Foles last year?

ETA: the consensus of everyone. Us Central Floridians wanted him to fall a bit so he could end up somewhere where there wouldn’t be immediate pressure.

I would have preferred a bigger receiver, but this guy appears to be a Sproles type, which works well in the Saints offense.

I can’t wait for the Browns to take Bridgewater before Manziel, and listen to Kiper’s barely disguised contempt.

He plays really big. He’s like a supersonic tank.

Off to watch game tape from Ha Ha Clinton Dix. …

On the surface, it’s nice to match up a need and a guy who is rated in the area of the pick.

Lee is right there. The safeties are gone, the corners are gone. Big Balls Chip loves his Pac 12 players that scorched him when he was at Oregon. It makes too much sense. They’re probably trying to convince someone to trade back for Manziel.

**Four **awkward pauses. Gruden holding a clinic.

Hey, a commercial break. Look at that. AND A TRADE! There goes Lee to KC.

This was the guy I wanted for the Packers, but I didn’t think he would fall to us.

“Crap. That guy’s good.” As a Bears’ fan, my comment on the Packers’ pick.
