No idea why they felt they needed to trade 9 to 8 for that, but they only gave up a 5th, so meh. I like Dennard, but eh. CB2 really strengthen’s the Browns D.
Donald got past Tampa. The stress is killing me.
Thank you Browns, for not taking Johnny Football.
I don’t want to see him 2 times a year for the next decade.
Unless of course, he falls to 26
I think the Vikings stole a 5th rounder there. They smoke screened taking Gilbert and the Browns bit. Not a huge loss for the Browns, but probably unnecessary.
Does it make a psychological difference to fans if their team traded up for a pick or just picked where they were?
This is the one guy I’d like the Steelers to grab if they don’t go CB.
But he will be gone before the Steelers pick. He is a good one. Whoever gets Donald will be happy.
Only if the fans think they gave up too much.
A 5 round pick by the Browns isn’t much. They gave it away, IMO, but if they thought he was the guy they wanted and they had a hint that the Vikings (or someone else) would swoop in and take him, the Browns did the right thing for their organization.
Classic Lovie. He picked his guy and never wavers. The start of the offensive collapse.
ESPN analysts on the Vikings pick: “whoa” “whoa” .
I had Gilbert lumped in with Dennard and Fuller, and not fantastically better than Verrett and Roby. From a value standpoint, I’m not sure that was very good.
And there goes Ebron. Was getting into the idea of the Giants taking him…
A 5th round isn’t going to change Minnesota’s mind about taking him if they really like him. Maybe you make a bid if you think someone else will trade up to Minny and take him. Of course, a 5th rounder isn’t much - but by only moving down 1 slot, Minny knows they’re going to get who they want, so it’s essentially a freebie.
So if someone in the mid-teens was trying to trade up for Gilbert, then it makes sense. I have to assume that’s a possibility since why else do it? In any case, a 5th isn’t that big a deal.
Ok, I’m still good with Ebron. with Ha Ha still there I’d have rather gone that way. Ultimately nobody in a spot they need was quite worth a ten, but trading down 3 or 4 spots is hard, and more than that you might not got anybody you need at all
Happy with that Lions pick. Who needs a defense?
I kinda want to see the 49ers make a splash here, but the guys worth trading up for are dwindling.
Donald is going to fall to the Giants.
Giants are the next threat and Ebron was the guy who might have been their top target.
Is there any franchise that nobody gives a shit about more than the Titans. Even the Jaguars garner sympathy or laughter, but the Titans are just … Meh.
Ugh. We’re not getting him.
Really, the only way a 5th Rounder is actually going to sway the Vikings there is if someone right behind the Browns wants to move up and is offering a 4th or something.
