Coakley loses the governor’s race in Massachusetts.
Look for the Massachusetts legislature to change the law again so governors can’t appoint senators.

Ironic.
And a renewed vigor in some people accusing others of reveling in such.
Warner leads in Virginia but by less than 1/2%.
And the Maryland governor’s mansion looks like it might house a Republican! Unreal!
A Republican was just elected Governor of Maryland. Dude, it’s a wave.
I’m curious at what point Harry Reid will say he will not run for Minority Leader.
“Wave”? Ah, yes, Department of the Navy, privatized, Carnival Cruises.
Two things; one, Obama. So, yes to your question. Two, the GOP didn’t throw their own candidates under the bus, which goes a long way.
No one responded to the last four formulaic posts you made. Why did you make another one?
The GOP doesn’t throw its candidates under buses, it throws them under limos!
Felt like it. Don’t have to read any of them, I’ll get over it.
I have no idea what any of that means – except with the possible interpretation that you think the problem with Todd Akin was that you fault Republicans for not rushing to support his legitimate rape comments, which - if that is what you mean - is just weird.
I wonder if there will be some polling showing how many young progressives went to the polls. I’m thinking, a very low percentage. The Dems need to mend some fences in their own party. I voted the straight Democratic ticket in Georgia, but that was only because the Green Party here is in complete disarray.
Still, chances that the Dem centrists that created this debacle will lose power in the Democratic Party? Almost nil.
Formulaic… ah yes. FDA, privatized, a WalMart greeter with a head-lamp.
In other news, the GOP in West Virginia has captured the state House of Delegates for the first time since 1928. It was behind 53-47 before this election. Projections have put it ahead 64-36 after. It has gained a 17-17 tie in the State Senate. Many Democratic Senators will be begging to switch parties.
This was truly an historic election.
Republicans have a real chance of winning both Alaska and the Louisiana runoff, which would push their gain to 9 seats.
Florida elected Rick Scott twice. This is nearly as bad as GWB winning two elections. sigh
They pandered to faux outrage. Hell yeah I fault them for that, especially when Democrats will coalesce and defend even the worst of the worst, regardless of what they say or do. It puts you behind the game.
I guess Christine O’Donnell’s “I am not a witch” ad was simply ahead of its time, perhaps like Emily Dickinson’s poetry.
