FYI, Yahoo had a big hack today, so change your password (and if you are reusing that password any where else). If you’re like me, I only have a Yahoo account for FF.
It actually happened in 2014. Nice of them to mention it two years after the fact.
This is probably too late, but looking at your roster, I’d keep Gurley. CJ Anderson is one of the best you could ask for in your RB1 spot, but you don’t have anyone else to man your RB2 spot except Langford, and he’s been looking kinda crummy and there are mutterings that the Bears might start giving some of the other guys on their team a larger look. But your WR corp is fairly strong with Landry/Maclin/Benjamin/Hilton.
I’m in the market for a TE. Have a few options…
Have: Martellus Bennett and Jacob Tamme. Not sold on either.

[li]Use 2nd Waiver Priority: Jimmy Graham[/li][li]Post-Waiver Period: Seferian-Jenkins, Zach Miller, Charles Clay, Richard Rodgers, and Cameron Brate.[/li][li]Trade: Barnage (I probably won’t accept) or Jordan Reed (he likely won’t accept).[/li][/ul]
Week 4 question:
Isaiah Crowell (Cle-RB) vs. Was on Sunday or
Jerick McKinnon (Min-RB) vs NYG on Monday
I’m leaning towards Crowell for two reasons. First, the GIANTS have been much better against the run than the 'Skins, and second, I’m a GIANTS homer and hate when I have to hope for an opponent to do well against them.
Crowell has been running pretty well this year and they’re going to rely on him pretty hard most likely, I’d go with him.
Thanks, Beef.
What if I throw
Jordan Howard (Chi-RB) vs Det
into the mix? Melvin Gordon is pretty much a lock as RB1, so Howard or Crowell at RB2? Or maybe both, sitting Doug Baldwin at W/R flex, with Odell Beckham Jr. and Alshon Jeffrey at WR1 and WR2.
Gotta love 10 player leagues.
Crowell has been very reliable. Howard is a crapshoot, no idea what he can really do.
Fantasy sites should allow a third scoring mode in addition to head to head and points: all vs all head to head record.
If you look at yahoo’s procedurally generated game reviews, you see this stat:
If Exploding Pancakes had played every team in the league each week, they would be 46-30.
I just realized that would be a valid, middle way of determining the winner of a league between H2H and points. It’s not nearly as flukey as head to head - it’s as if you’re playing against evey other team every week. But it also has individual week results matter, unlike points, where it feels like each individual week is irreelvant, just the year as a whole. You’d still be invested in the week-to-week results of yourself and your rivals. At the end of the year, final placement (or playoffs, I suppose you could still do playoffs) would depend on your overall record against everyone. I’d be curious to try an all vs all league sometime, and it might actually be the most interesting scoring system, but as far as I know no sites feature such a thing.
After two weeks of getting burned by LFitz, I saw that with Palmer out, I wisely sat Fitz on my bench.
This is fine. Everything is fine.
In my money league, I’m leading by 20 going into Monday. I have Jameis Winston yet to play and my opponent has Kelvin Benjamin. Do I pick up Derek Anderson from waivers and start him? That would protect me if Benjamin has a big game. We don’t have to pay for free agent pickups and I can drop the useless Torrey Smith or injured Corey Coleman to make space for Anderson.
Yeah, I’d drop Smith to pick him up. It’s unlikely that Benjamin could score 20 more than Anderson but if it’s a stomp it could happen with Jameis Winston. It’s definitely the safer route.
Ugh, just realized the only guy I can drop is TJ Yeldon , on a bye week. If I drop Yeldon, I would have David Johnson, Devonta Freeman, Carlos Hyde and Jay Ajayi left as RB.
I’d just stay pat with Winston then. You’re a huge favorite. Benjamin would have to score like 28 with Winston being shut out, or something like that, which is a pretty unusual case.
Ended up rejecting the trade after being convinced by some experts not to give up on Gurley. I think Dez is suffering from some injury issues, and now at 3-2 I’m very happy with my squad!
Seattle D is on waivers in my league because of their bye last week. I have the Rams D. Any problem picking up Seattle instead, especially since the Rams have a bye soon?
I have a 6 point passing TD league where I’ve been starting Rodgers over Stafford most of the year, but it doesn’t seem like it’s been paying off. Do I start Stafford vs Washington this week or Rodgers vs Chicago tonight?
I’d start Rodgers for sure. This feels to me like the kind of game where he tees off on a bad team. Plus with their RB situation they’ll probably pass most of the time.
I actually came to the same conclusion, but since I’ve started Rodgers wrongly all year I wanted to get a second opinion. Not sure why he’s in such a funk. It’s not just him - the whole offense - the receivers aren’t performing as well as they usually do either.
Washington has a decent defense. Rodgers…well, he’s likely to give you at least a good half.
