This is a thread for questions, advice, news, bragging, whining, and anything related to fantasy football this season.
Not exactly fantasy, but you can join the SDMB Pick 'em and Survival leagues. You can join late - if you miss tonight’s game, one game isn’t a big deal. Even missing week 1 isn’t a big deal since we drop everyone’s worst week.
Fantasy discussion isn’t limited to these leagues, but just for reference, the SDMB FF leagues are: He Hate Me, All-Pro, Big League, Dynasty.
And our first bit of information:
Pats playing the injury game, or legit? Who knows. He starts Sunday night though so this sure does suck.
Week 2: Doug Baldwin or Sterling Shepard, non-PPR league. I’m leaning Baldwin as I’m already starting Bekham Jr., but NO defense absent their best cover guy…it’s really tempting.
I doubt you’ll be hurtin’ whichever way you go, but I’d start Baldwin. It spreads your risk, and he’s the ‘Hawks’ #1 threat against a questionable Rams D. (Of course, I have Baldwin in a couple of leagues, so YMMV…)
In my money league, ppr scoring. RB choices are David Johnson, Devonta Freeman, Carlos Hyde, and TJ Yeldon. I’m leaning toward Johnson and Freeman. I don’t like Atlanta’s RB split workload, but I don’t like Hyde, on a short week, on the road against a rested Carolina. I’d like Yeldon if I knew Ivory was out this week, but it’s a west coast game
So far my 2 success stories have been Denver’s CJ Anderson and picking up an undrafted SD WR Travis Benjamin Tuesday, NOT playing him this week but still winning my H2H this week to go 1-1 even without his awesome performance this week. I have a feeling Travis might be finding his way onto my starting lineup quite soon.
Biggest bust so far has been my #1 pick, Todd Gurley.
Have a lot to look forward to; I drafted Tom Brady on the cheap because of the suspension, and have Blake Bortles filling in for him weeks 1-4; if I can find a way to get to 2-2 by his return, looking forward to a decent season!
Managed to win in all 5 of my leagues this week, three by big margins. Went 3-2 last week for 8-2 overall. I’m invested in Demaryius Thomas in 3 weeks so I’m glad he wasn’t crippled but I’m worried that’s a lingering injury. Also have Aaron Rodgers in 3 and that hasn’t come together yet. Also have Jared Cook in 3 leagues and that’s been useless. Given those three things it’s a good thing I’m off to a good start.
Who are you guys heavily invested in this year over multiple leagues?
Only doing 2 leagues this year but I got A.J. Green in both, which hurt me this week. I barely won in the Big League, and I just barely lost in my work league, thanks to Ryan Mathews second touchdown.
Blake Bortles Jax - QB (Have Tom Brady on the bench waiting for him to come back Week 5)
Emmanuel Sanders Den - WR (Last minute replacement Week 2 for another guy who went on IR; Most likely will replace him this week with T Benjamin from SD if I don’t take Bryant)
Jarvis Landry Mia - WR
Todd Gurley LA - RB (My #1 draft pick has been a bust so far, only reason Im considering trade)
C.J. Anderson Den - RB (Been KILLING it so far this season)
Greg Olsen Car - TE
BENCH:
T.Y. Hilton Ind - WR
Tom Brady NE - QB
Jeremy Langford Chi - RB
Jeremy Maclin KC - WR
Zach Ertz Phi - TE
Travis Benjamin SD - WR (Might get the promotion!)

DEFENSE:
Micah Hyde GB - S
Karl Klug Ten - DT
