2018 Election Day Thread

No results yet from California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Nevada. I realize they’re on Pacific time over there, but even so it seems awfully late to have no reports at all from House races in those states. What gives?

I can’t say for the other states, but Oregon is entirely mail in ballot. You had till 8pm PST to drop off your ballot at a collection box. And all of those have to be collected and tallied.

WA is similar.

As so often happens, you’ve pretty much made the exact points I was going to. Yes, MSNBC leans to the left, but it’s nothing to the extent of FOX. It wasn’t too long ago that MSNBC was going with “Lean Forward” as a slogan, ferchrissakes. Refreshingly honest, particularly while FOX went with the absurd “Fair & Balanced” motto.

Not hard at all if you’re patient and start small.

  1. See if you can track down any hot coffee. Difficult, but doable.

  2. Anybody badboy enough to drink joe probably knows where to find a beer drinker or two.

  3. Give him a half pound of fresh-ground Jamaica Blue Mountain in exchange for the 411 on the tipplers.

  4. Find them and threaten to tell the Bishop (or whomever… not really up on the LDS hierarchy)

  5. Profit! Beer at the Romney shindig

As of now (11:43pm) it looks like my state is going Democratic across the board!

You say that like it’s a good thing (even though it’s not).

You may be right. What they SHOULD do is stress that everybody who doesn’t hate America owes them their votes. Because as long as the Republican Party continues to exist, that is objective fact.

I thought it was “ream.”

A friend on FB was pointed out that if the America-hating Fuckstick and Pence get impeached, she becomes President (I know. I know she knows, too. Just a little wishful thinking brought on by giddiness over the Speaker’s gavel turning blue). I said she ought to troll him and every time she visits the WH she should bring along a tape measure and a book of paint chips.

Predicted by whom?

Here in South Carolina I’ll soon be repped by a democrat. I worked for Joe and know him. How 'bout that.

I didn’t mention this specifically, but it’s part of the Great Plains Democratic success I did mention.

Given that she got stomped and the last polls showed a dead heat - is it impossible to accurately poll Missouri?

And before everyone jumps on the rubes - we passed a minimum wage increase and medical marijuana, so there is some good news.

It’s absolutely imperative that the next Democratic candidate for president campaigns on legalizing marijuana.

Right now MN district 1 (where I live) is very close (1466 vote difference, there are 570 write-ins)

His winning campaign slogan was “braiiiins…”

I spoke too soon… At the time, D Paul Davis was up 4% over R Steve Watkins in KS-2. Watkins had closed the gap by the time I went to bed and this morning I heard that Watkins won.

Well, by me of course.:D:cool:
