2020 POTUS Debate 1 (29 September) follow-along and discussion thread

Lol, here is one for you:

Trump supporter and Dilbert creator Scott Adams has decided to no longer vote for Dotard because, get this, Trump didn’t answer correctly on the White Supremacy question. LOL, Scott! Mad he blew your cover?:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Scotty is upset that Trump didn’t lie about his position?
That is funny.

At the very least the moderator should have a gavel. (Not sure even that would shut Trump up, but it would make a good audio/visual for the world to see Trump shouting over the moderator’s banging gavel.)

Best kind of gavel would be the flinty kind they use in Klingon courts, that shoot off sparks.

Get a throwing gavel.

I wonder if John Bercow might be available?

ORDERRRRRRRRRR!!!

On it! I’m working on forging a Mjolnir-sized gavel that’ll bounce off a candidate and return to the moderator’s hand.

Adams is such a sucky little baby.

He’s also a liar. Like, a MASSIVE liar. Any factual claim he makes, verify, because he lies like I breathe.
There’s also the fact that he’s in hock to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars, and his only options for repaying it are massive liquidation of his properties (which might not be enough) or sale of state secrets.
He is a billionaire, so owing 400 million is no big deal. Why do think he can’t just get new loans to pay the old ones? I don’t understand how you think you know about his negotiation options.

Who is going to give him a loan? There’s only one bank that will deal with him now.

Objection! Assertion of fact not in evidence!

Forbes.

Cash/liquid assets
Net value: $160 million
Change since 2019: No change

That’s a problem when you have 400 million coming due.

You have never done a balloon loan?

WRT “you’re a number 2” I assumed that it was a dig as in, “you’re not capable of being the top guy, the Alpha” though that assumes more cleverness than I think trump is capable of

I have to wonder how many of you have done multimillion dollar deals. I have been in several. It’s like you think since you drive a car you know what formula one drivers know.

I think multiple sources have confirmed that Trump was referring to Biden skipping the point he was trying to make and going to number three.

What’s that got to do with simple math? 160 is less than 400. It works no matter how many zeros you’re dealing with.

He could restructure the debt in multiple ways, why do you think he needs cash?

It’s a whole lot more effective if you explain rather than trying to cow us with your alleged expertise.

Why would a billionaire need to restructure debt? Why not just pay it off? It’s a mere fraction of his worth.

Why, the devil is in the details.
Cash flow, other opportunities, changes in rates, there are many reasons why a deal is structured in a certain way.
