2022 SDMB Celebrity Death Pool

While we’re waiting for the macabre march to move on, I’ll just say I kind of wished I’d picked Robbie Coltrane for my list because I watched the Harry Potter reunion thing last night and Our Robbie is looking very, very unwell indeed.

Although, actually, I’d rather he just got better. Because he’s lovely.

Then you must not have been paying attention. Apparently, his kidney problems were chronic, plaguing him for years.

Apparently he’s been having bad osteoarthritis and he needed some knee surgery and he had to lose about 100 lbs before they would operate on his knee.

So while he’s unlikely to die from his ill-health, he certainly isn’t having a pleasant go of it.

One of the Bogdanoff twins perhaps best known for their grotesque, bulging cheekbones, died on January 3 from complications from Covid. Igor was 72.

His twin brother, Grichka, died on December 28, 2021, also from Covid.

Normal humans: Wow those twins died so close together.

Death Poolers: those twins died in two different pools.

I love that I’m not the only person who has thoughts like that. We Dopers are a rare breed, and I look forward to all the company on my way to Hell, should it actually exist.

Umm sorry, I was just polishing my handbasket.

Say, nice handbasket. Where’re we headed?

That depends. Where’s the lotion?

regardless of the location, it puts the lotion in the basket…

Lemming-like run off the cliff?

Oh, that would be a great day. :rainbow:

I had to look up the twins before surgery. They were handsome men and probably would have been distinguished looking older gentlemen without the surgery. Its a mystery to me.

Kind of like with Michael Jackson. He was a nice looking guy, maybe not drop dead handsome but still okay. Then he screwed his face up.

Lawrence Brooks, who was both the oldest living American and the oldest American WWII veteran, has died at the age of 112.

Peter Bogdanovich has directed his last picture show. Age 82.

RIP Mr. Bogdanovich; you done good. Thanks.
