Assuming this isn’t another Jerry Lee Lewis dead or alive? situation, someone might have just won some serious points:

serious wasted points

Yeah, it is confirmed he is dead. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of him, but I clearly was not the target audience for him when he was doing well.

Drowned in a bathtub. Must have passed out or something. History of abuse issues.

He was a contestant on Dancing With The Stars a few years ago. At the time I suspected that he would not make it to normal retirement age. Should have put him on my list.

He was also the little brother of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, and was a performer in his own right.

He’s not dead. I’m just passing along this info in case someone is looking for a decent candidate for their 2023 list!

(I mean, “Stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer”)

Oh, thanks. I had no idea.

It’s getting to the time of year to start thinking of next year’s list, so it’s a very timely suggestion.

I’m sorry to hear about George Booth. I bought many of his books, and when I subscribed to The New Yorker I always combed each issue for his cartoons. He was one of the greats in th New Yorker pantheon.

Not exactly a household name, but a gentleman named Daniel Smith died last week at age 90. Smith was believed to be the last surviving child of an enslaved person.

Mimi Parker, 55, drummer, vocalist and orginal member of the band Low has died from cancer.

He was 93.

I just discovered that one of my picks, actress Marsha Hunt, died in September at 104 years old. Here’s a gift link to her obit in the NYT.

Another 0 points for me.

I had her too.

Did he die of a … Oh, nevermind.

Looks like he was played for 6-under but bogeyed the shot by quite a bit.
