RIP Chinese Balloon. Your fame was brief but you rose to great heights. Pretty sure it was under 18 years old so no points.
I was hoping it would pass near enough that I could run outside and flip it off. >:(
It was spotted over Charlotte, so that’s something.

I have never seen them. Pictures, but not the actual things – never even knew they existed until about 25 years ago. We have these things called “Circus Peanuts” that I believe are similar in composition.
Similar in composition, sure. Both use gelatin and contain sugar and emulsifiers. But that’s where the similarity ends.
Circus peanuts are the texture of Styrofoam that has a mostly indescribable flavor with a vague nuttiness to it. They are quite possibly the most unpleasant readily available confection. Even candy corn is better.
Peeps are gooey marshmallow coated in crystallized sugar. I’m not particularly a fan because I’ve never really liked marshmallows on their own, but peeps are a fine replacement for regular marshmallows in most things.
Besides, you can blow up Peeps in a microwave.
Circus peanuts as well, but it just isn’t the same.

After having him as one of my entries in at least one death pool for many years now, I am finally able to collect. He gets the last laugh, though, for being worth only 5 points by now.
