Kevin Mitnick has been mentioned dozens of times previously on the board. He’s a well-known figure. Some of these others… not so much.
Not sure if you mean Kevin Mitnick, but Yahoo has his death as a lead story on their page right now. He was pretty famous.

I guess celebrity and famous aren’t exactly equal. He certainly was famous for a time.
As DeathMistress I will remind people that the rules for celebrity have always been flexible, mainly relying on a death to be publicized in major news outlets.
So your Aunt Ruth who got mentioned in the local paper for winning a pie contest at the county fair, isn’t really a celebrity. But a pie winner who got on the national news, for whatever reason( it happened here in Kansas a few years back) could be considered a celebrity.
