I’m gobsmacked. I didn’t know she was only 2 years older than me.
Wowzers. I assume because her mental health struggles were mentioned that it’s presumed to be suicide? The article gives no cause of death that I saw.
I have yet to hear any cause, but I had posted(a few weeks ago) on the Outlander subreddit how terrible her rendition of the theme song sounded this year and speculation was out there she was ill. In fact, she sounded so bad in the rendition, I wondered why they even used it this year on the show.
I wondered if something was wrong with her voice.
With the death of Sinead O’Connor McDeath the Mad jumps into 2nd place. Reindeer Flotilla and tuesdayweld get their first points and now tie for 4th place.

For those who are interested, Mitch McConnell froze up at a press conference and had to be escorted away.
I checked and eight players have McConnell.
Sinead O’Connor seems like a left field inclusion on a list, so it’s interesting how many had her. Maybe her death was caused by something predictable?
She had serious mental health issues and had threatened suicide before. Not exactly “predictable”, but the game is about making high-payoff bets. You’ll make more points on a pick like this than on a 99-year-old with terminal cancer.
Unstable singers/entertainers is a valid list…
Elvis/Morrison/Hendricks/Prinze/Jackson/Cobain/etc…
Drugs, drinking, lifestyle, managers, weird doctors make for a short life. The problem is narrowing the list down. There’s so many of them. And yet, Richards lives on¯_(ツ)_/¯
Richards is stable. The important thing is to maintain the same level of intoxication. It preserves you.
Personally I based my picks on mental health and drug dependance status as well as terminal health issues.
That’s why I have:
Anthony Keidis (recovering heroin addict, who admits he will always be a heroin addict)
Pete Davidson (seems a little mentally unstable)

Years ago I put Colin Farrell on my list because he seemed determined to live fast and die young. Then he seemed to slow down which was good for him, not good for my score.
Steve-O looked doomed a decade or so ago, maybe 15 years ago. Now he is clean and sober and I’m glad for him.
