I chose mostly celebrities with pilot or helicopter licenses. So far all have them have landed safely.
The first time I picked him, I figured no Doper had heard of him. Now he’s on a bunch of lists.
My son is (was?) a skateboarder, so Bam and Brandon Novak were my dark horses. My very healthy dark horses, full of life!

I have four lists, two on the Dope(regular and themed) and two on the Giraffe(regular and themed) Out of all of them only one celeb has done me the favor of passing, and that was a unique pick over one hundred years of age.
Also, a half-dozen or so of us have James Whale on their lists. He’s ending treatment for his terminal cancer, and says he has just months to live. Would be 28 points if he dies this year.
Good thing I’m checking my list, here’s another:

Speaking of “very healthy dark horses, full of life,” there’s Kate Keltie, whose breast cancer, as of last fall, had supposedly spread to her lymph nodes, blood, and hip bones. But by February, she said she was cancer-free, and she shut down her GoFundMe and pocketed the $37K there. Don’t know what’s going on, but I don’t think I’ll have her on my 2024 list.
Randy Meisner, one of the founders of The Eagles, has taken it to the limit one last time.

Best position I’ve ever been in a Death Pool. Also I find it interesting that the three of us tied for fourth place each have two deaths but at most only one death overlap and none is shared between all three of us.
Anyway…
I had Robert Downey Jr on my first Deathpool list. He looked like a good pick back in 2000.
If you’re referring to the Jackass cast member, it was Ryan Dunn.
Should have gone with Mort instead. He would not have been a score in '00, but he was worth 32 a year later. And geez, with a name like Mort …
