That’s what I was going to say. I take comfort in all this knowing that if, in some alternate universe, I gave up points to someone for MY death, the thread would go on.
Imagine my surprise at checking things after a busy weekend to see that I had acquired 94 points on one death. Followed by a bunch of posts tagging me. Glad it got cleared up. And sadly happy to be on the board (top 10 even). A very sad death of someone much too young.
Legendary motorsports broadcaster Ken Squier passed away this morning at 88. It was his call of the first live flag to flag broadcast of the Daytona 500 that took stock car racing to a new level. The end of the race, with the fight between Cale Yarborough and the Allison Brothers, Bobby and Donnie, got everyone’s attention.
Celebrity adjacent. Dana Carvey just announce that his son Dex (who I believe was also a stand up - I could be wrong) died of an accidental drug overdose.
I had a morbid thought yesterday and this seems like the thread to share it.
The United States and China have both announced plans to send people back to the moon. Depending on which announcement you believe, this will occur some time between 2024 and 2030.
Of the twelve people who have been to the moon, four are still alive. The youngest are 88 years old.
So my thought was wondering if any of them will be alive when a new name gets added to the list. Or will we have a period when no living human being has walked on the moon.
