I’m gonna say that deliberately poking a guy in the eye should be an ejection. Anytime anyone makes any contact at all with my eyeball, I consider that to be “excessive”.
Pacers have a 10-point lead on the Bucks at halftime of Game 3.
Pacers got their butts kicked in the second half and lost Game 3.
Game 4 Sunday.
Timberwolves won game three in the last four minutes last night, outscoring the Lakers 13-1. McDaniels is really earning his paycheck by keeping Doncic in check (as much as anyone can).
And the Wolves just won game four in the final minute or less. A foul by LeBron and some good defense sealed it. Now they head to LA with a 3-1 lead.
Milwaukee’s Damian Lillard was helped off the floor with a lower leg injury late in the first quarter of Game 4 and will not return.
As I write this, the Pacers lead 42-33 with 7:27 left in the second.
No comeback for the Bucks. A Pacer’s wipeout. They should finish this series at home easily (he said based on the bones scattered in front of me).
Very disappointing for the Pistons. Two very close losses with some questionable calls.
I know I’m crazy, but I still think the Pistons can win three straight.
He’s been diagnosed with a torn Achilles tendon. putting next season in doubt, too.
He would be like 37 when he got back and coming back from two potentially career ending injuries at the same time. I would imagine this is it for him sadly.
He has a warrior’s heart, but he needs to pack it in. As I mentioned upthread, he would be a great head coach.
In Game 5, the Pacers spotted the Bucks an immediate 13-0 lead, were down by as many as 20 in the second quarter, but came storming back. We were only down 6 at halftime, and forced overtime.
Even so, we found ourselves down by 7 with 40 seconds left, but came back to win by 1!
BOOM, BABY! Bring on the Cavs.
Going into last night, teams that were down by 7 or more points with 40 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter or overtime of a playoff game had won zero games and lost 1,609 times since the 1997-98 season.
Wasn’t it also the Pacers who did the last time in 1998, in the Conference Finals against the Bulls? I seem to remember a game where Reggie Miller went crazy during the last minute to pull it out for the Pacers.
It was against the Knicks
The Lakers are out; MN won by seven. I don’t know who woke Rudy Gobert up, but he had 27 points and 24(!) rebounds. Randle turned out to be a good trade as he is consistently bringing game.
Lakers needed a center so bad. When Gobert is looking like Shaq you know you messed up.
There’s definitely a benefit to being the biggest guy on the court by four inches. Kinda lucky, too, since the Timberwolves seemingly couldn’t buy a three. I counted either three or four missed 3-pointers IN ONE POSSESSION. If you get four chances in a single possession and leave with zero points…it might be time to drive to the hoop.
I’m disappointed for the Pistons. They look good, lost at least 3 out of the 4 games by a close margin.
I hope next season, they are able to come back even stronger. Maybe win 50 regular season games.
Hey, they are actually outperforming the floundering Red Wings.
They got screwed out of at least one game.
