2024 NBA Playoffs

Pacers filing a complaint disputing 78 officiating rulings over the past two games with the Knicks.

I admit I haven’t seen either of the games, but that feels excessive, both in the disputing, and if those calls were indeed questionable.

Interesting noises during Luka’s post game conference

Pacers win! Thank God.

What a pathetic showing by the Wolves. They were lackluster and hesitant right from the jump and their much-ballyhooed defense was nearly absent. I turned it off before the half, when it was apparent that they just didn’t give a shit and were already 20 points behind. What a missed opportunity.

I saw the last ten minutes of the Knicks/Pacers game, which was another nail biter.

The Wolves looked as bad last night as the Nuggets looked in the previous game. I always find it both amazing and amusing when one team can win by 26 points one game and lose to the same opponent by virtually the same margin in the next game.

The crowd went from raucous to dead silent by the midpoint of the second. They even quit booing Murray.

Not sure where to place this but this are this years lottery results:

1 Atlanta Hawks
2 Washington Wizards
3 Houston Rockets
4 San Antonio Spurs
5 Detroit Pistons
6 Charlotte Hornets
7 Portland Trailblazers
8 San Antonio Spurs
9 Memphis Grizzlies
10 Utah Jazz
11 Chicago Bulls
12 OKC Thunder
13 Sacramento Kings
14 Portland Trailblazers

Right now Cleveland is whaling the tar out of NY, leading by 34 points in the 3rd. NY couldn’t hit water if they fell out of a boat. MN plays tonight at 7:00, and they desperately need to win this one or all bets are off.

You mean Indiana! HOW DARE!

Oops!

I tuned in because I saw a game from the previous round where Brunson and the Knicks impressed. Good gawd NY looked like dog fuckin doo today! Like DAMN!
Brunson looks like injuries and hard play (against him) are adding up.

The sad part is if the Pacers win this series, people will say that (just like in the Bucks series when Giannis didn’t play at all, and Lillard was injured) we just beat up on injured opponents.

MN doesn’t have that excuse. They’re just not ready for a championship yet. Tied at 2-2, and it may go to seven, but unless someone other than Edwards elevates his game, they will not move on from this. It’s interesting, however, that both teams have suffered humiliation in front of the home crowds.

Minny was looking unstoppable the first two games, no idea what happened.

Ugghh, Mavs blew that temporary home-court advantage.

In game three, Edwards said he “was tired”. He scored 44 in game four, but everyone else just stood there, apparently. Their scoring inconsistency is killing them, even though their defense is very good.

Doncic played through pain; he had a lot of good plays, especially passes. Holmgren, though, made some crucial free throws to seal the deal for OKC; and Gilgeous-Alexander showed more of his regular-season skills and consistency.

Fun to see these geographically proximate teams going at it.

Late in the 4th, Shai ties the game from behind the backboard.

OKC was 23 of 24 from the free-throw line.

Dallas was 12 of 23.
