Here’s a link to a story for verification.

Frank Farian died. Or possibly he had someone else die for him. Is death-syncing a thing?

Chicago Cub Legend Ryne Sandberg has been diagnosed with Cancer

He died at 91.

Gary Graham, genre actor from the TV version of Alien Nation, Star Trek Enterprise, and terrible Mecha movie Robot Jox, dies aged 73.

I liked Osgood’s book Nothing Could Be Finer Than A Crisis That Is Minor.

I liked that show Alien Nation.

Hollywood Knights! I’ve been struggling to figure out where I recognized Gary Graham from outside of Robot Jox.

Farkin’ Quiter!

Just kidding. You know that. Bless her!

Oh yes, no problem. We missed her terribly but she’s with Grandpa again, after thirty+ years of widowhood.

“Brand New Key” was memorably performed in Boogie Nights, as I recall.

Always liked “What Have They Done to My Song Ma”. She just sounds so appropriately tired and disappointed.

Oddly, I heard “Brand New Key” the other day as background music in a casino. I don’t think I had heard the song in 50 years, but I remember the exact place where I once heard it (a hang out place for 10-12 year old kids, pinball machinges etc)

I googled to see when it was a hit, and sure enough, it fit the time frame on when I would have been at that hang out,

The other day I tripped across one of those “these were the hits this week 50 years ago” or something like that, and “Brand New Key” was on it. I hadn’t thought of that song in years until then. It’s weird, isn’t it?

What are those, a game that folds down when not in use?

mmm

I love The Nickel Song.

I think you find them at the side of the bun, where they allow you to flipper up the top half so that you can lay the lettuce and burger and special sauce, etc, on the bottom half before bumpering it shut.

He was 85.
