I met him several years back. I used to work for the union that organized the Memphis sanitation workers back in '68 and he was at some commemoration function. Real amazing dude, if felt like you were meeting American history personified when you talked to him.

The dude talked about comic books over pictures of comic book art. I don’t think he ever appeared in his videos. The chances of him doing something stupid for clicks is about zero.
Another coincidence. I’m currently reading Waging a Good War: A Military History of the Civil Rights Movement, 1954-1968 by Thomas Ricks and Lawson is one of the main figures in the book.
Jeannette Charles, Queen Elizabeth II impersonator best known for movies such as The Naked Gun, National Lampoon’s European Vacation, and Goldmember is dead at 96, the same age the real Elizabeth was when she died.
