Some newspaper articles bury the lede. This one certainly didn’t. The opening sentence gets right to the heart of this guy’s legacy.

My Bible teacher in high school was having sex with one of the 15-year old girls that went to the school. He was fired, banned from the campus, and the girl’s family did not want to press any charges or go anywhere with it.
Criminally, he got off with no charges. He ended up running a golf shop in town.
If you would like to know how different the world was(this was around 1997), he actually continued to attend the church. He had only recently become youth pastor, which he obviously lost his job as well. He must have stayed at the church a year or two after.

Just saw a tweet from Frankie Boyle suggesting Noam Chomsky has died.
Anyone have anything official?
No news, but The Jacobin just published an obituary:
Lots people online saying Noam has died but no official links that I can see.
ABCNews says that his wife says that reports of Chomsky’s death is untrue.
The Giants just announced the death of Willie Mays.
