Not quite my favorite show but in the top five and that’s saying something. Remember when they tried to get a cow down from the third floor of a tenement? Or “Lordy, I’m going to be shot dead in a moose suit.”?

Hill Street Blues was one of my top 5 fav shows as well. I liked so many of the characters:

Howard was always my favorite, but I admit that Mick Belker was a close second. Such a wonderful contrast between the scary exterior and the sweet interior. “Hi Ma…”
I had his pic on my fridge for a long time… ::swoon::. I was kinda dismayed to read he was gay, as if my chances with him were now ruined.
So when his character ended up in bed almost every week with Joyce he was being a really good actor. It makes me remember a quote from Sir John Gielgud. “I’m an actor. Of course I can play a heterosexual.”

He was one of the best.

Reports out there that Lou Dobbs has died at 78.
If one more Bob goes we’ll have Dobbs and Bobs.
One of those deaths made me sad, the other made me…less sad. I’ll leave it to the reader to figure out which was which.
