2025-26 NBA season

They look tired. I saw their Lakers game a few weeks ago live and they looked amazing. I left the stadium thinking they might win the entire thing.

Speaking of which, the Rockets have two straight elimination games, without Kevin Durant. Last night was in LA.

The Game 3 giveaway is now looking quite large, but they can still come back and win the series. Lakers looked a bit tired last night, even with the return of Austin Reaves.

Yeah, Denver kicked their ass in the last game. Looked like MN just fell apart. They need to seal the deal tonight, as a trip back to Denver isn’t going to go well for them.

HOLY SHIT! Knicks up 48-15 on the Hawks in Atlanta, on a 39-4 run if I heard correctly.

83-36 at the half.

Haaaa, nice stuff.

Sixers force a Game 7. Saturday in Boston.

And Minnesota sends Denver home. Impressive performance by the short handed Timberwolves.

Indeed. And a less-than-impressive performance by the Nuggets. Gave up far too many offensive rebounds, and they relied far too much on Jokic, who was extremely frustrated.

It was the largest halftime deficit in NBA Playoff history. And it came during an elimination game. Hawks fans were filing out in the second quarter.

Fun series, but not like in '81, when a young Larry Bird went up against a still-in-his-prime Dr. J in the Eastern Conference Finals. Four of the seven games were decided by one or two points (including the decider, which Boston won by a whisker).

Apparently it was close to the biggest deficit ever. The Dallas Mavericks took a 50 point lead just a few years ago. Their lead was 77-27 at the half.

and last couple games LeBron turnover prone

Pistons were down 24 points.

They came back and won by 14, a 38 point swing.

Wow.

And the Magic missed 24 consecutive field goal attempts in the second half.

I have no idea what happened in those two lockers rooms at halftime to make the teams switch identities.

Edit: maybe 23, not 24? Either way, still abysmal.

Holy moly. I heard that the Celtics missed something like 18 shots in the second half of one of their losses, but 24 is absurd. Any idea if that is a playoff record?

Probably not after the beating the Hawks took the other nite, but still extremely bad.

He had 3 TOs last night, but the Lakers had no trouble eliminating the Rockets. I didn’t watch the game, but evidently LA played well from start to finish. Now they get to face OKC.

By the way, if you haven’t seen the game-winning shot by RJ Barrett of the Raptors, you need to watch it. Video is in this Yahoo article.

Fun little trivia fact I just read:

Tobias Harris - Detroit Piston player. He has the record for most earnings in the NBA without making an all-star game.

The Sixers went into Boston tonight and won Game 7 over the Celtics, coming back from a 3-1 deficit. It was the first time the Sixers have won a series after being down 3-1, and the first time the Celtics have lost a series after being up 3-1. (At least, I think that’s what I heard at the end of the telecast.) It was the first series win for the Sixers over the Celtics since 1982.

Jayson Tatum did not play for Boston tonight. Tyrese Maxey had 30 points for Philly.
