First game seven win for Joel Embiid. Rock chalk!
Congrats on the comeback, once again. You got four healthy games out of us.
Very happy the Pistons are still in the mix.
Orlando fired the coach already. Thank god.
Timberwolves beat the Spurs by two points!
From the NY Times:
Monday was mythic stuff from Anthony Edwards.
Most believed it would take him until at least Game 3 on Friday to try and give it a go against the Spurs after hyperextending and suffering a bone bruise in his left in the previous series against the Denver Nuggets. Not only did he get back in time for Game 1, but he took the game over in the fourth quarter, scoring 11 of his 18 points in the first five minutes of the period to push the Timberwolves in front.
The team countered a historic effort from Wembanyama, whose 12 blocks were the most in a playoff game since the stat became official in the 1973-74 season.
Minnesota looking like geniuses after getting clowned over that Gobert trade. When you have to face Jokic and Wemby maybe a generational defensive center is a good idea, even if they give you 0 offense.
Very true.
And then didn’t show up for game 2, losing by 38 points.
Pistons are behaving much more like the team they were in the season. Up 11 points at half-time of game 2.
I guess trading for Anthony Davis gets you the first pick. Pacers got shafted, glad OKC did not end up with another top 5 pick.
The first pick is wasted on such a badly-run team as Washington.
even Jordan couldn’t save them
The Knicks are on the verge of sweeping the Sixers, leading by 40 in the 4th.
NY was 11-13 on 3-pointers in the first quarter, tying a playoff game record for most 3s in a quarter. They are a serious challenger to win it all.
I’m surprised by how badly Philly is getting beat, on paper I thought they were significantly better than the Knicks, specially without Anunoby.
They did ok last time, they got John Wall and were somewhat relevant for a bit.
Timberwolves and the Spurs are at halftime with MN leading by a few. Wemby got tossed with a flagrant two for throwing an elbow into Naz Reid’s face. But the Spurs are playing well without him so far.
Just saw that replay. Wembanyama got his money’s worth for his first ejection. Metta World Peace wasn’t even that obvious.
T’Wolves win a close one. Edwards was better, and gutsy plays by Reid and others toward the end. A couple nice passes under the basket.
Knicks-Wolves would be a fun finals. I’d be sad that one of them has to lose.
Knicks will probably make it, but i don’t see how anyone gets past OKC in the west. They just got the 12th pick in a loaded draft too.
Yeah, that last three minutes was a nail-biter. Kudos to the Spurs for putting up a ferocious defense and hanging in there without Wemby. It could have gone either way.
