And Ford’s press secretary, Ron Nessen, dies at 90. I read his book last year, or the year before.

Donald ‘Slick’ Watts, former NBA player, has shot his last 3-pointer at age 73.

Watts was signed by coach Bill Russell to play for the Sonics in 1973 as an undrafted rookie. He was with Seattle for less that five years, but became a fixture known for his broad smile, bald head and crooked headbands. He led the league in steals in the 1975-76 season.

Wings Hauser, actor, age 77.
Wings Hauser - Wikipedia

One of, if not the biggest character in F1. I’ll miss him.

Despite his long career he’s probably better known now as Cole Hauser’s father.

Cole who?

“Johns” from Pitch Black. And a lot of other roles, too.

Most recently, Rip Wheeler in Yellowstone. Due to continue in a sequel series as the same character.

Hauser. Like his father.

The man dies and he still has to share a headline.

I think I best remember him from his few episodes of Roseanne. Wasn’t he the boyfriend who beat Jackie, and Dan (John Goodman) went and beat his ass?

I know I’ve seen that guy in a hundred things but the only one I can remember right now is that he was in A Soldier’s Story, as a bigoted officer accused (incorrectly) of shooting a black sergeant.

I seem to remember him in some other role as a bigot of some sort, though, and I remember thinking, ‘boy, he sure plays a racist well.’ Knowing full well now that that doesn’t mean anything but that he’s a good actor.

Searching his iMDB page I think I’m thinking of Vice Squad where he playing a psycho, but not necessarily a bigot

A few years ago I tried to get a unique pick out of him but he wouldn’t cooperate so I dropped him.

Comedian Lenny Schultz has died at 91.

He’d been around forever. During my stand-up days, I found myself in the same town as Schultz. He wasn’t my cup of tea, and I once saw him (on another occasion) go apeshit on an audience member and start throwing bottles of beer at the guy. Schultz was a prop comic, and part of one of his props shot into the crowd and landed on someone (not a heavy or dangerous prop. It was part of a banana). The audience member tossed it back, and apparently Lenny wasn’t expecting that. The banana hit Schultz in the chest area (again, not hard or dangerously), and just went off.

I’ve googled trying find this bit to link here, but my google-fu is failing me.

Anyway, it was one of the more unprofessional things I’ve ever seen. He may be missed, but not by me.
