That radical anarchist that gave the world “Banned From Argo” and a large amount of music based on the tales and poems of Rudyard Kipling, and one of the first (and finest) filkers I ever met has died. Leslie Fish has died at age 71 (or perhaps 72), and I will miss her unique voice.
Pfui! Leslie Fish was a great, dominating voice in filk, and we are all poorer for our loss.
Half of the inspiration for that troublesome bard, Leslac, is gone.
That’s been greatly exaggerated.

HoF WR Art Monk was also a victim of the same kind of misinformation this weekend.
She hoped she’d be remembered for “Hope Eyrie” (lyrics) but had pretty much acepted her fate it would be “Banned from Argo.”
