The official accounts for rock band the pillows shared on March 27 that drummer Shinichiro Sato passed away from esophageal cancer on March 23.

Sato had been undergoing treatment for his cancer and was 61 years old at the time of his passing. His family held a private funeral.

Any football fans remember when the Tampa Bay Bucs won their first Super Bowl? It was against the Raiders, and they beat them bad.

One disadvantage for the Raiders was that their All-Pro starting center, Barrett Robbins, didn’t play. He had mental health struggles, and had done AWOL from the team before the game. Apparently he was in Tijuana partying as if he’d already won.

Anyway, Robbins died the other day. He was only 52.

Stephen Lewis, Canadian politician, diplomat and journalist, dead at 88. Just 2 days after his son was elected leader of the federal New Democratic Party. Sounds like he was hanging on to see if the torch was passed to the third generation or not. (His father, David Lewis, was a founding member of the NDP.)

Nope, the school was Hollin Hills Elementary School, a couple miles south of Alexandria, VA. He wasn’t there long, a year or less.
