More pipali.
Just rewatched the DVD two scenes in the directors cust throw me off.
The biggest is the bit where the scientists after just having heard Reliant is coming debate what to do next. Unlike the theatrical release the camera dollies around the group. That in itself isn’t distracting … it is the acting. It is just not good. Everyone over does their lines and it almost looks like a rehearsal.
The theatrical version is much better in delivery and execution. If you can, compare David’s delivery of “Reliant is on her way” And Carol’s “I will not subscribe to your interpretation of events” You’ll see the directors cut is more theatrical and less natural.
I’d just like to say… GET A LIFE, will you people? I mean, for crying out loud, it’s just a TV show!
:dnr:
I’m 37. I’ve had MORE than enough time to be a Treknerd AND have a life.
It’s goddamn RESPONSIBILITY I wish I had less of!
