Pretty much anybody on this board who has been around awhile and values the facts has a pre-existing beef with SA.
It’s years old but it only arises occasionally. He spends most of his time in GD and I spend most of mine here. It’s pretty much oil and water when we wind up in the same thread at the same time though.
However, I’ve got other stuff to do now so I’m gonna bow out for awhile.

And note to RT: Do you dispute the factuality of my description of today’s society and the problems we have with our schools and our youth, and the fact that these problems have grown out of our abandonment of the values and disciplines that were commonplace prior to the counterculture revolution of the late sixties?
I’m not seeing much argument to any of that; it seems to be a given. All I’m seeing by way of response is personal attacks on me.

And I mentioned more than Food Stamps. I mentioned government insurance. And we have also been the benefactors of child care assistance and WIC. But since getting that assistance helped me to make ends meet when we needed and allowed me to use my resources to go through school and get a decent job (which by the way doesn’t cover all our basic expenses like food, rent, childcare, car payments, etc) we still need to get help through our church since the government says we aren’t poor enough anymore for help.
But hearing the facts doesn’t sit right with your version of reality so you will just dismiss my comments again I am sure.
Is my impression correct that the pedophile apologist has managed to make a thread about the murder of 27 people, including 20 children, all about him and his deluded need for the 50s?

St. Louis, MO was named the most dangerous City by the FBI in 2010. Just looking at murders:
In 2011, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reported 113 homicides, falling 21% from 2010
From this article in the NY Times in 1921 there were 426 murders reported.

Which I think is a 73% drop in murders from 1921 to 2010 (in the most dangerous city in the US). So I am hard pressed to figure out where in the world SA lives.

The impression I got was that the idiots who can’t resist taking his bait derailed a thread about the evils of hoarding massive amounts of ammunition and military style semi-automatic weapons.

The only magical thinking is your imaginative claim that a man ready to commit 108 felonies including killing his mother and himself is going to let a law stop him from making an illegal or black market purchase. Laws didn’t deter him from committing murder, so why do you think the law would magically deter him from an illegal weapons buy?
Because it makes it harder. Rather than picking it off a shelf and charging it on a credit card, the buyer must find a black market seller and pay cash, often at inflated prices from a limited supply. I am under no illusion that gun sales to sociopaths will be eliminated. Making it harder reduces the number of successful sales, and the number of tragic outcomes.
