3 songs from a group: love it, like it, hate it

Your 2 hates are 2 of my favorite songs by each band

Neil Young
Love: Down to the Wire
Like: Heart of Gold
Hate: My, My, Hey, Hey or vice versa

Ditto for me on the Kinks number. But I guess I can see it since they have so many amazing ones. I’ll try it for the Kinks… it’s hard to pick one I “hate,” though.

The Kinks:

Love(s): Wait Til the Summer Comes Along; Little Miss Queen of Darkness (Sorry, couldn’t pick one).

Like: Got to be Free

Hate: Everybody’s a Star

God that’s a hard one… obviously I’d love to pick Sunny Afternoon and Arthur and Party Line and Village Green Preservation Society and Muswell Hillbillies and Where Have All the Good Times Gone and So Long and Dandy and Young and Innocent Days… literally I could go on forever here. The Kinks rule and I feel almost like I was cheating by just picking a piece of crap later album like Soap Opera. I may as well have just mentioned Misfits or some other dollar bin waste of time. But there’s really just nothing I hate from about 1964 all the way to at least 1973.

You obviously haven’t seen him do it with Boogie Boy and Devo.

I’ll get a few of the biggies out here…

Steely Dan:
Love: Bodhissatva (sp)
Like: Kings
Hate: new stuff (pretty much all of it)

Green Day:

Love: Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Like: Time of Your Life
Hate: American Idiot. It would be a generally ignorable but hoppy tune, except the random bad Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonation in the middle of the song keeps grabbing my attention.

The Beatles:
Love: Let It Be
Like: Dear Prudence
Hate: Strawberry Fields Forever

Ke$ha is ineligible for this poll because she hasn’t made any songs I hate.

Down By The Seaside is a top five Zeppelin song for me. This thread reminds me of what unusual taste I have.
