I’ll post it since it has been awhile and I’ll go first, though I don’t know I can get a clip of it.
At the end of each post, put :hangs head in shame: as you look down and are embarrassed of what you like.
Mine:
Cherry Lips(Go Baby Go) by Garbage
Honestly, it’s a pretty stupid song and I doubt Garbage would list it as a great example of their music, but for some reason, I really like that track and used to blast it in my care as I drove along at the end of university.
:hangs head in shame:
Umm, the easy answer for me is Funkytown, by Lipps, Inc. I can’t defend my love of that song on any level, other than I am a slave to the perfect disco beat and production.
oooo, failure to follow written instructions, and just grooving out.
:hangs head in shame
I carry much shame on account of my love of cheesy songs from the '70s (redundant phrase, that). This gem by the Brady Bunch is on my Ipod :o <covers red face with hands>
ABBA, “Dancing Queen”.
:hangs head in shame, then drops mic:
Not enough. I must shove your face in the ground and make you smell it. “Do you see what you did, El_Kabong? Bad boy, bad boy!”

::sigh::
you do know that now I’m going to have to kill you, right?
::hangs head in shame::
That would be Brick by Ben Folds Five
There’s noting wrong with the song. But I’m physically incapable of not singing along at full volume in falsetto.
People stare, people judge, but I can’t even hang my head in shame.
One Girl Revolution- SuperchicK
:hangs head in shame:
Hey, I just noticed this was not an Idle Thoughts thread. Does this still count as an “official” challenge thread?
I see nothing shameful in liking a song by ABBA, who have withstood the test of time and are held up as the beginning of the takeover of Swedish Pop on our charts. And Garbage is great!
I, on the other hand, have to admit that when my daughter gets to pick the radio station, I don’t mind the catchiness of Cake by the Ocean by DNCE/ Joe Jonas. Now that is a guilty pleasure.
From a Big Dumb Rock standpoint, I gotta go with Buckcherry’s Lit Up: Lit Up- Buckcherry - YouTube
These guys are sleazy in a GnR-wannabee sorta way, without the chops or songs, and this song has no redeeming qualities - it is a salute doing drugs, fercrissake - but damn if it isn’t fun to rock out to. So, yeah, I feel guilty when I listen to it, so it counts, to me.
I posted it for him. I know him somewhat and doubt he’ll mind.
I kinda like this gem, ashamedly.
For those of you into musicals, you may remember:
This, and a more recent cover.
(At least I don’t dance to it.)
You got us!:smack:
I for one smile look a fool when I run across that.
Good Lord, it doesn’t get any guiltier than this, but I had such a crush when I was 11.
I gotta feeling -black-eyed peas
Happy, by Pharell. I enjoy this song WAY too much.
