“Short Skirt, Long Jacket” - Cake
This was just too easy.
This has also been my theme song since it came out. Another equally sad comment on my life is Shawn Colvin’s Sunny Came Home. I haven’t snapped like Sunny did. Yet.
Well, you never know til you ask.:smack:
I love that song. I also love ‘‘Yes It Is,’’ they both have a similar feel to them, very bare acoustical numbers.
Mine’s Human Nature by Madonna (link to lyrics.)
Every line is relevant to my life, but I’m particularly fond of, ''I’m not your bitch, don’t hang your shit on me."
[QUOTE=Eddie the Horrible]
Probably Joe Cocker’s “You are So Beautiful”, but replacing all the "you"s with "I"s.
…“I’m everything I hoped for…”

Hahahahahaha.
Where is My Mind? by The Pixies
It feels like a “so how you doin’?” would be appropriate here
Love that song. I remember showing my kids how the instrumental theme song from the TV Show Chuck was actually a real song. They loved the groove, but the lyrics are so fun. Cake does good work.
I’ve long thought “The Theme From Shaft” was written about me. Although Hayes may have taken some poetic license to protect my privacy.
Can you dig it?
Similarly mine is Queensryche’s Jet City Woman (note the username).
“… can’t get me out of my mind…”
I adore that song, and have for a couple of decades now, so I claim it as mine. I’m a woman, and occasionally fly for business and holidays, so it seems to fit. But it does make me feel a touch narcissistic, so I joke about it.
