30 Day Song Challenge, number 21: a song that you listen to when you're happy

This topic might give you déjà vu because it’s awfully similar to number 3: a song that always makes you happy. I just post these topics, I don’t write 'em. This is the last one in the challenge that I think could have done with being rewritten, the last nine remaining are all pretty good, I think.

I’ll post Vinyl Pinups - Gold Rays, because it’s a very breezy pop song that’s perfect for summer.

Cheatin’- Gin Blossoms

I could’ve been a nurl and said “Happy”, which I think is a fine Stones song, but there’s another one off “Exile on Main St.” that gets me even bouncing-off-the-walls happier:

“oh, yyyyeeeaahhhhh!!!”

It changes daily but right now it’s:

Locked Out Of Heaven - Bruno Mars

I guess the word ‘Happy’ made me think of this,
a happy song,
which I would never listen to by choice

I don’t have one listen to when I’m happy song.

It could be

Singasong by Earth Wind and Fire

Storytime by Nightwish

“The Baron” by Chico Hamilton

And most preferably this version…blows the studio one out of the water, into orbit, and to a billion smithereens.

Meh. I’ll let you know when it happens.

Maybe “Summer”, by War

Oh yeah, EW&F - but Sun Goddess

A high cheese factor on some of these, but so be it.

Walking On Sunshine - Katrina and the Waves
Jungle - Electric Light Orchestra
Firecracker - Michael Bernard Fitzgerald
Dancing Queen - ABBA

Like I said in previous threads, all my music is on random play, and I don’t match it to my mood. But anyway, here’s . . .

Silly Love Songs, by Paul McCartney and Wings.

Gotta go with Sing, Sing, Sing by the Benny Goodman orchestra. If this doesn’t get your toe tapping and feeling like Bugs Bunny when he is groovin’ on hepcat jazz, then I can’t help you: "SING, SING, SING" BY BENNY GOODMAN - YouTube

My favorite Benny Goodman number is Let’s Dance, as well as the original by Weber.

The Kygo remix of Sexual Healing

Apart from loving anything even remotely scary or Halloween-ish, this song never fails to crack me up and I’ve got it downloaded for anytime I need a pick me up. By Los Lobos.

The Carnegie Hall version of that one fills me up with joy and a sense of the triumph of that moment, then the piano solo makes me cry. To me, it is too perfectly crafted and heartbreaking beautiful to react any other way. I can recognize the other solos early in that version now, so if I hear it while I’m driving, I can pull over and have a good weep.

So, that’s the only version I seek out anymore. If it affected you the way it does me, why would you want to listen to anything else?

But that’s my answer to a different, unasked question. When I’m happy, and just want to feed that, I usually listen to surf rock right and left. King of the Monsters by Man…Or Astro-Man? works for that purpose.
