I really just opened this thread to comment that in Australia (and probably NZ), our fund raising famines last for 40 hours . So what’s the deal - are yank and Canadian fund-raisers just weaker than their Southern Hemisphere Brethren, or has the litigious nature of American society led to a cut in faminable hours?
I might actually organise my own 50 hour famine just to show you all.
Yeah, because gosh, that would sure show those slacker teenagers who are trying to do something good.

I don’t know why its different there. Ours is hosted by World vision. Is yours? That might explain something.
Depends entirely on the orginization that does it.
The college I went to did a skip a meal program. So it was closer to a 6 hour famine.
