I was knocking about just now when I came across some band who calls themselves ‘33Hz’. They claim they get their name from the frequency that causes orgasms in women. This frequency, as they claim, is also used for crowd control purposes during soccer games in Latin America.
This sounds like a bunch of hooey to me—but is it?
I’m pretty sure that there has been a thread about this, although I think it originally was talking about the army and crown control. If I remember, it’s unproven. Assuming no one else replies in the next half hour, I’ll try to find the link.
If a 33 Hz tone could really cause spontaneous orgasms in women, the sales of five-string basses (which go down to about 31 Hz) would skyrocket.
I’ve got 2 five strings. Now if I could only find some women.
